VELUX partners with the Nordic PropTech Awards
We are excited to announce VELUX as a new Programme Partner of the Nordic PropTech Awards 2023. VELUX will among other things bring insights and expertise to the jury on the ConTech and the Healthy & Sustainable Buildings Track.
Healthy buildings
For more than 80 years, the VELUX Group has created better indoor environments by bringing daylight and fresh air into homes and other buildings all over the world. They have had their focus on healthy & sustainable buildings since 1999 and have since then founded a global alliance, partnered in demonstration projects around the world, and driven research that puts the spotlight on the need for building renovation solutions to address societal and environmental issues.

License to make a difference
While VELUX as a company has a history of developing new solutions to market, they recognize that new forces are driving innovation across the industry. As Startup Engagement Lead at VELUX Erdal Ahmedovski puts it, we now see new opportunities for tech startups to truly make an impact on the industry:

90% of our time indoors
VELUX will specifically be engaged with the two award tracks: ConTech and Healthy & Sustainable Building. A great match, notes PropTech Denmark’s Managing Director Michael Ambjørn:
“In the Nordics we spend more than 90% of our time indoors, even though we know that fresh air and daylight are two key requirements for healthy, sustainable, and productive living. This is a challenge area VELUX is quite rightly obsessed with. And we're excited to partner with them on finding what's next across ConTech and Sustainable Buildings. We'll be looking at Ideas and solutions worthy of exploration, adoption - and ultimately, those worthy of a Nordic PropTech Award.”
