PropTech Denmark joins vision committee for Jernbanebyen

PropTech Denmark has been invited to the vision committee by DSB Ejendomme & Freja Ejendomme on the development of a new green neighborhood in Copenhagen.

Jernbanebyen is a new area of Copenhagen envisioned to be the new green hot spot of urban development in the city. Behind the initiative is Danish real estate companies DSB Ejendomme and Freja Ejendomme.  With it’s app. 400.000kvm span close to downtown Copenhagen, the area has the potential to be a prime location for recreational activities as well as retail and the larger business community.

Carsten Rasmussen, CEO of Freja, elaborates on the vision for Jernbanebyen:

“We have to build the new neighborhood from the ground up, as we wish to set the bar high from the outset. We imagine a neighborhood based on sustainable and climate friendly principles, where green and active communities are in focus.”

PropTech Denmark will among other things contribute with knowledge on digital city development, smart services, urban mobility, tenant and community engagement to name but a few. Our (former) Managing Director, Nadim Stub, acknowledges the effort to have PropTech as part of the overall vision for the area early in the process, and is looking forward to contributing to the new committee:

“It is a big honor that we have been invited to help define such a characteristic and historical part of Copenhagen. I am looking forward to contributing to this sustainable and innovative initiative and neighborhood, poised to bringing value to the Copenhageners for generations to come”
